The bluefin tuna protection program in the Mediterranean and on the European Atlantic coast is one of those tremendous ecological successes that give hope. Formerly overfished, it is now found in large numbers, close to the coasts throughout the Gulf of Biscay and in the south. An overpowering fish that can reach exceptional sizes and weigh up to 400 kg!
